the dark in which you wrap yourself muffles not your bright

the red of the unravelling thread
held tight between your teeth....
..keep pulling.

prayers pressed between two hands sincere....
..for what do you ask
and who do you believe will answer?

Beautiful and ominous. Like a wanderer who sees thunderclouds build up in the horizon after she asked the gods for some rain. Will the gales tear her trees down? No means to know except living it through, and in the case of storm, keeping some cones to plant new trees. Before long, in less than a lifetime, there’ll be a lush little grove defying the tundra. One of the the branches carries a ribbon, now waving far above.
